I founded The Scottsdale Center for Sex and Relationship therapy to revitalize relationships and empower people to live with more confidence, joy and passion. I specialize in improving couples communication, healing emotional injuries, enhancing intimacy and increasing erotic desire. By providing a safe, confidential and inviting space, I help clients feel comfortable discussing and overcoming difficult challenges. I am affirming of all sexual orientations, identities and relationship configurations. My empathy and creativity inspire hope along with new possibilities for people who feel stuck, disconnected and/or disillusioned.

My style of therapy is active and engaging.  In sessions we will plant and nourish seeds that you will cultivate between sessions by applying insights gained and knowledge acquired through our therapeutic process. For example, I frequently offer practice activities, including exercises to try, YouTube videos to watch, articles to read, etc. to work on between sessions so you can create powerful changes in a relatively short time. 

I am the Owner and Clinical Director of the Scottsdale Center for Sex and Relationship Therapy. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), LMFT Supervisor, AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, IFS Certified Therapist and IFS Consultant. I provide customized workshops and speak professionally on various topics related to personal growth, sexuality and relationships.  I serve as the Arizona Section Leader for the American Association of Sex Educators, Sex Counselors and Sex Therapists (AASECT), the regulating and certifying body for professionals specializing in Sexuality.  I also teach and consult with therapists on how to effectively treat sexual issues in a therapeutic setting.

I have received extensive, specialized training in Couples Therapy, Clinical Sexology and Sexuality. Additionally I have completed three externships and a year-long advanced training program in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT). I am a Certified Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapist, as well as an IFS Consultant providing IFS supervision. I have completed advanced training in IFIO Couples Therapy (Intimacy From the Inside Out) which is IFS therapy applied to couples therapy.

I am member of several leading organizations including: The American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT), The Arizona Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, (AAMFT) The Society for Sex Therapy and Research (SSTAR), The Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality (SSSS), and The International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH).
